Greetings,

My name is Frazer Watkins and I am the owner of the Captain's Gig. When I was a boy my grandfather planted a sapling behind his shop, and when I was 17 he cut it down. My summer job that year was to shave it into a mast for the gaff rigged cutter he had been building for over a decade and a half. He was in his late 80s then, and I will always remember the few sails we had together on the ROSE TREE before he died. It wasn't until years later I realized what I had been learning from him without being aware of it.

The sea sense I have acquired led me to learn navigation in the coast guard, to confidently sail boats too big to row without motors, build small craft for various applications, obtain my 50 ton near Coastal Master's License, and most importantly, to help others safely experience and consciously protect the pleasures of the marine environment for over 30 years.
